Epilogue Bonus
Yep. I read all the reviews. I hear you. Loud and clear. I hear you saying you wanted more. You were let down. I feel like I've said it a bunch, but I'm not sure everyone is hearing it.
I really wanted the first time to be realistic. I don't think it's realistic that a virgin would want to have sex for a long time. I don't think it's realistic to expect her to have an orgasm on her first experience, either. I think a guy, player or not, who hasn't had sex in a year is going to be struggling to contain himself. That was all factored into my writing of the epilogue.
Furthermore, I really wanted to end it with it just being their first time. Why? Because I didn't want the book to be remembered by the epilogue. I also didn't want to draw the honeymoon out when I didn't feel like it advanced the plot. The plot had long been resolved.
I'm so sorry it's disappointed so many people. I have thought about this a lot and I decided to add in this scene to the epilogue. Not because I wasn't happy with the epilogue as it was - because I was and am happy with Forgiven. I'm doing it for you. I realize I won't make everyone happy, but when I hear the same thing over and over and I'm in a position to fix it...for you all...I will. You should know that you matter to me. Your voice means something. Your reviews aren't for nothing.
Hopefully, Amazon won't take forever to send notifications out for you to be able to download a new version of Forgiven.
IF you have not read Forgiven, then do NOT read any further. Let me repeat! DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT READ FORGIVEN. Also, it's mature content. Please stop reading right here if you're under 18.
I’m on my side, propped on my elbow watching my wife sleep. I’m not sure how long it’s going to take me to get used to using that word. The sun is peeking through the curtains. I’m sure she’s exhausted. I hate to wake her, but we have a flight to catch. And the breakfast here is quite impressive. It’s not every day that you get to eat at a five-star restaurant as soon as you wake up.

I’m sure she’s exhausted. I hate to wake her, but we have a flight to catch. And the breakfast here is quite impressive. It’s not every day that you get to eat at a five-star restaurant as soon as you wake up.
I strum my fingers up and down her exposed back. Her skin is so soft from the bath last night
and I inhale her sweetness. While
kissing her forehead, I murmur, “Wake up sleepy head.”
She snuggles into my chest and puts her leg over mine, as if
she could get any closer. I’m taken back
to the morning after we got engaged. The
morning that I almost went places I wasn’t allowed and it brings a smile to my
face to know that is no longer the case.
I already had a rock hard erection just being next to her, but now it’s
raging.
I reach down and tilt her chin, bringing her lips to
mine. I don’t close my eyes to kiss her. When she wakes up with that surprised look on
her face, I want to be able to see
it. She moans into my mouth, “Mmm,
morning Mr. Banks.”
I smirk. “It’s a good
morning, Mrs. Banks.” I use my tongue to
trace her jaw line to her ear, knowing this will surely wake up every last
nerve in her body. “It’s about to be
even better, too,” I whisper. I roll her
onto her back, spreading her legs, and climb in between. I nibble her ear lobe, swirling my tongue
behind it, and let my hands wander down to cup her breast.
Those breasts have always been a perfect fit into mine. I roll her nipple between my fingers. She bucks her hips towards mine. “How do you feel this morning?” I ask in
between kisses.
“I haven’t had time to think.” She reaches down and grabs my erection and
brings it to her soaking wet folds. I’ve
not even had a chance to work them over, and she’s already dripping for
me. “My brain can’t think clearly when
you do these things to me as soon as I wake up, and you know it.”
“Mhmm.” I move my
hand down and slowly slide my finger over her mound. “How’s this
area feeling?”
“Sore…empty…wanting this…”
She pulls my erection closer. “In there.”
I growl with hunger and need for her. I was all about giving her the foreplay, but
screw foreplay. I wanted to be gentle
with her last night. I wanted to be
tender with her because the thought of hurting her absolutely kills me. I plan on giving her everything she wants and
needs for the rest of our lives, and if she wants this, then by golly she’s
going to get it.
“No foreplay, huh?”
“I think we’ve had enough foreplay to last us a lifetime,
Mr. Banks.”
With that, I position myself and take her lips into mine as
I slide into her tight opening. I
squeeze my eyes closed as we start to move together in harmony…in one
accord. We are connected in a way that I
have yearned to connect. There is no
closer intimacy than this for us.
It solidifies what I had once told her: last night and today have been a first for
me. I have never, ever made love to a woman
like this before. Sex, yes, I’ve had
sex, but this…this is special.
I don’t know how long I’ll be able to last. I want her to have release before I do, but
with each thrust, those tight muscles clenching around me bring me closer to
the edge. I slow our pace down and
caress her face as I kiss her again.
I reach my hand down and start to massage her sweet spot and
her body writhes beneath me. Yes, this
should help push her over the edge. “Ah,”
she moans as she looks me in the eyes briefly before squeezing her eyes
closed. “Bradley,” she exhales as she
digs her fingers into my back.
“That’s it, baby,” I encourage her to let go. “That’s it.”
I feel her shuddering around me, and that’s all it takes to
send me over the edge. I rest my
forehead on hers, nipping and kissing her as I lose myself in her. “I love you.”
“I love this,” she
whispers. “And you.”

Love it!! Thank you :) Alicia Taylor
ReplyDeleteThank you for adding this!!!! Now I want to cry :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry there were some unhappy campers. Personally I liked the original epilogue. This one is good as well but I actually thought more of their passion would should show in the next installment. After they get married is where it counts. Can't wait and congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteI never got anything from Amazon about downloading the revision. Has anyone else?
ReplyDeleteIt can take up to 4 weeks for Amazon to send the emails with the link to download a new copy. I apologize for the delay. I'll update with a comment on this post when I'm notified they have been sent. Thank you so much for all your nice comments. They mean the world to me. :)
ReplyDeleteI got the email this morning - how funny is that? You should have gotten an email if you downloaded through Amazon. Not sure how to get Barnes & Noble and the other sites to do this. I'll have to look into it.
